Body Shop Earth Lovers Shower Gels
Gentle on the earth and gentle on the skin – those are the key selling points to the new eco-conscious 100% biodegradable shower gel range launched this month from the Body Shop.
And although the Body Shop have perhaps not previously been known for its ‘free from’ attributes, Skins Matter is pleased to see another high street or household name venturing into ‘free from’ and that a number of chemicals undesirable to many consumers have been excluded from Earth Lovers.
The range consists of seven products, each featuring Guatemalan Community Fair Trade aloe vera – which has long been used for its skin-healing benefits and to stimulate new cell growth. Each comes in 250ml bottles – made from recycled plastics – and retails at £5. The flavours are:

* Mint & Cucumber
* Watermelon & Eucalyptus
* Fig & Rosemary
* Pear & Lemongrass
* Apricot & Basil
* Fragrance-free
The formulas are very soft, and soap-free, making them ideal for those with dry skins – while those with sensitive skins may find the fragrance-free option ideal instead.
As well as being free from soap, the range is additionally free from sulphates, colourants or parabens. For food allergics, the range is also free from gluten, dairy products, nuts and peanuts too.
