Melvita Mother and Baby

Melvita, France’s largest organic beauty brand with 11% market share, have added a new Mother and Baby range to their extensive range of natural and organic products.
Launched this week, the suite of eleven new products supplements the several hundred products which were unveiled to the UK market in January, and on which we reported.
Babies get the lion’s share of new goodies, with eight of the eleven new products. The ‘pour bébé’ products are:
* Cold Cream Soap (£5, 125g), a gentle, firm, long-lasting soap, with cotton and avocado oils and shea butter;
* Shower Shampoo (£12, 200ml), a foaming mousse which is both gentle on the eyes and guaranteed tear-free, and which is scented with gentle, allergy-friendly floral waters;
* Cleansing Water (£12, 200ml), a no-rinse product delicately scented with cleansing floral waters;
* Cleansing Milk (£15, 200ml), a lovely gentle milk, with protective argan oil and repairing shea butter;
* Moisturising Milk (£16, 200ml), with soothing aloe vera and linden water and nourishing olive and coconut oils, to leave baby with silky and supple skin;
* Massage Oil (£17, 100ml), an indulgent oil to treat your baby to, with calendula, argan and carrot oils;
* Changing Cream (£11, 75ml), with cotton, olive and calendula oils to soften and soothe babies’ bottoms, and protect from nappy rash and dampness;
* Nappy Change Milk (£12, 200ml), enriched with beeswax, to moisturise, soothe and reduce redness.
But mums aren’t forgotten by any means, with their own trio of ‘pour maman’ products:
* Nipple Balm (£19, 50ml), with soothing calendula and shea and coconut butters with macadamia, rosehip and argan oils, to restore suppleness and softness to the skin after breastfeeding;
* Body Milk for Mum (£24, 200ml), with shea butter, evening primrose, hemp and avocado oils to restructure the skin, and linseed and chestnut to firm and offer anti-ageing properties;
* Stretch Mark Prevention (£28, 150ml), with restructuring sea buckthorn, rosehip, baobab and inca inchi oils with thyme, centella and chlorella, which supports the bonds between skin cells, preventing the keratin from fracturing and causing stretchmarks.
The range boasts particularly impressive safety and natural credentials, being free from any major allergens, alcohol and essential oils. This, in addition to the ‘free from’ properties of the entire Melvita range, which is free from products of petrochemical origin, ethoxylated and glycolated products, synthetic colours, formaldehyde, parabens and phenoxyethanol.
