New Skincare at the Natural and Organic Products Europe Show
As the UK’s only natural and organic trade event, the Natural & Organic Products Europe show is a must-attend exhibition for all those in the industry.
This year, the sixteenth, over six hundred exhibitors were showcasing their products, and over seven thousand natural and organic industry professionals went along to view the products. Naturally, SkinsMatter.com was among them. Here we bring you a small selection of the new skincare ranges and launches which excited us most at the show…
Wild natural skincare is a new fairly traded skincare brand with a strong African flavour and very colourfully attractive packaging, whose founder Valerie Outram hopes to bring new and relatively unknown African beauty ingredients – such as baobab oil and marula – to a new consumer base.
Soaps (£6.25/£6.95) and body butters (£15.50/£16.75) in five scents are available: warm sensual shea and baobab, romantic shea and marula, zingy grapefruit and Kalahari watermelon, extra hydrating shea and cape chestnut, and sensitive aloe and avocado. A range of facial oils is launching soon.
All products are free from SLS, parabens, petrochemicals, and from nuts, dairy and wheat / gluten.
Pomegranate is a natural beauty, health and wellbeing company whose new Regenuvite™ skincare range is at least 80% organic and boasts a terrific selection of skin-friendly oils, including camellia, kukui, rosehip, sea buckthorn, starflower and the signature pomegranate.
The five products currently in this very beautifully packaged range include Cleanse Naturally (£18, 100ml), Moisture Plus (£22, 50ml), Body Rehab (£22, 100ml), Active Night Plus Rollerball (£12, 10ml) and Active Night Plus (£27, 30ml).
All products are free from parabens, petrochemicals (including mineral oil), PEGS, sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate, DEA, PABA sunscreens or synthetic fragrances. As far as food allergens go, the products are free from wheat / gluten and dairy. (There is a ‘free from’ section on the site, currently in development.)
Shangri La Organics have launched their first five products from their Heaven Li Bodies range, with a further 15 products to launch over the next 18 months (a spa / bath & body range). The products, which are made with organically grown ingredients, include a hand salve (£12.95, 30g), heel salve (£12.95, 30g), lip balm (£6.95, 7g), and two rescue balms – on fragrance-free, one fragranced (£19.95/£21.95, 50g).
The range is free from alcohol, artificial fragrances, formaldehyde (including sodium hydroxymethylglycinate), parabens, phenoxyethanol, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfate and artificial colouring. Products are also free from wheat / gluten.
Manakedi have launched an excellent new range of three products designed with high concentrations of bo-active components to help dry, red, irritated and itchy skin – Active E1 Cream Cleanser (£16, 100ml), Active E1 Cleansing Face and Body Mask (£16, 100ml) and Active E1 Moisturiser (£19.95, 50ml). Future products in the pipeline include natural sun care, self-tanning and skin brightening products.
They are free from animal derivatives (including beeswax and collagen), artificial fragrance, propylene glycol, coal tar, phthalates, SLS, synthetic colouring, steroids, DEA, EDTA and wheat / gluten.

There are products for face, hands and body, such as cleansers, creams, lotions, balms and sun products, and mother and baby options too. Unica uses prebiotics (from chicory root) to encourage beneficial bacteria on the skin and reduce the risk of acne, as well as skin-healthy ingredients such as tamanu oil and kokum butter.
Prices for lip balms start at £2.50, for masks at £5.50, for scrubs at £6.75, for cleansers at £10.50, for creams at £12.00, and for oils at £16.
This is a very exciting and diverse range in the market for skincare for dermatitis and related problems, and all products are free from SLS, SLES, petrochemicals, phthalates, DEA, MEA, TEA, PEG, phenoxyethanol, parabens, synthetic preservatives, synthetic colours and many other undesirable ingredients. Also free from dairy.
