Oxy have reformulated and relaunched their earlier range of skincare products for acne and problem skin), with an eye-catching new packaging which shows off the origin of the range’s key active ingredient: a brown seaweed called laminaria digitata.
Unlike the previous range, which was targeted primarily at teenage boys and men, the revitalised range is suitable for teens of both sexes, and for adults too.
The active ingredient is Pycosaccharide® AC – a concentrated solution of oligosaccharide derived from the seaweed. Clinical trials have shown that the use of seaweed oligosaccharides (types of non-complex sugars or carbohydrates) in the skincare products help reduce sebum production, the numbers of lesions on the skin, and microbe populations too – improving acne symptoms and appearance within 14 days of use. The seaweed extracts also help seal moisture into the skin.

OXY Seaweed Power Fresh Skin Wash (£5.99, 150ml): boasting a powerful and clinically-proven anti-spot action.
OXY Seaweed Power Deep Calm Balm (£5.99, 50ml): helps reduce spot-causing bacteria, redness and help unblock pores, used as a follow-on to the Power Fresh Skin Wash.
OXY Seaweed Power Clear Pore Exfoliant (£5.99, 100ml): a deep pore cleanser which helps to stop stops forming. For use twice or three times weekly.
OXY Emergency Spot Treatment Gel (£6.99, 10ml): for application at the first sign of a spot, and proven to reduce the size and redness of a spot in just four hours.
OXY Clearlight (£39.99): a light treatment device which harnesses the power of sunlight without any damaging UV rays.
The OXY range is free from alcohol, SLS and parabens.
As far as food allergens are concerned, the products are free from wheat/gluten, dairy products and all nuts.
