“We have always believed that in nature we can find the solutions that are best for our skin” – that’s the philosophy behind Pat&Rub, a new range of 100% natural cosmetics, whose ingredients are exclusively taken from the purest, plant-extracted ingredients.
Body care and hair and scalp care products form the core of the range. Body care is divided into themes of relaxation, revitalisation, ‘sun fun’ and anti-cellulite. Hair and scalp care comprises products for regeneration, volume and shine, gentleness, shine and strength, and also a styling mist.
Among the star products are the Cranberry and Lemon Revitalising Sugar Scrub (£24.50, 450ml). It exfoliates and then immediately moisturises, which means you’ll not need to apply balm or butter after bathing, and it also contains a natural UV filter for skin protection.
Another top seller is the Lemongrass and Coconut Relaxing Hand Balm (£12.30, 100ml). This is a delicious, almost-good-enough-to-eat concoction which is excellent for dry hands and to help strengthen nails. It also helps act as a partial barrier to the irritant action of some detergents and other environmental factors, so could be a help if you have irritant contact dermatitis. Again, it offers natural UV filters. You’ll be sniffing the aroma on your hands all day – and it survives hand washing too. Lovely.
Like so many excellent new launches within the natural skincare sphere, Pat&Rub boasts an impressive array of ‘free from’ credentials, as it excludes petroleum by-products, PEG, silicones, polypropylene, glycol, artificial colourings, artificial preservatives and artificial fragrances.
A hypoallergenic range is being added to body care later this year, and we’ll let you know when it becomes available.
