Pukka Ayurveda Skincare Collection
Ten new natural skincare products ‘inspired by natural beauty for radiant, rejuvenated happy skin’ have been launched by Pukka.
Better known for its herbal tea selections, Pukka’s first foray into beauty has been formulated by its founder, ayurvedic practitioner and herbalist, Sebastian Pole, and is characterised by highly concentrated, sustainably harvested oils, fruits and herbs and a Soil Association organic certification of well over 90% in all cases.
The collection matches each of ayurveda’s three body-mind doshas/skin types:
* dosha vata – dry or damaged skin
* dosha pitta – oily or combination skin
* dosha kapha – normal or combination skin
The ten products are:
Cleansing & toning
* Gentle cleanser: Organic rosewater & green tea skin purifying formula (£11, 50ml): An uplifting, invigorating cleanser to clear congested, sensitive skin.
* Nourishing brightener: Organic bilberry & almond freshly ground exfoliator (£13, 15g): formulated for oily to normal skin.
* Uplifting toner: Organic rose & orange flower, skin firming formula (£17.50, 100ml): a light, refreshing toner gently fragranced with orange flower to tone the skin.
Moisturising
* Deep moisture day cream: Organic neroli & shea butter deep nurture complex (£26, 50ml): a luxuriously rich day cream formulated with neroli flower and shea butter to soothe and soften – ideal for dry to normal skin
* Balancing day cream: Organic rose & macadamia morning revival formula (£25, 50ml): a light, cooling, day cream specifically formulated to balance to normal skin.
* Nourishing night cream: Organic frankincense & avocado total repair complex (£28, 50ml): a soothing and renewing night cream for normal to dry skin, using frankincense and avocado to nourish and calm.
Treatments
* Nourishing face oil: Organic rose otto, avocado & pomegranate omega oil formula (£32, 30ml): a restorative treatment oil for dry or damaged skin, with avocado and pomegranate oils for essential nourishment and calendula and rose otto for a radiant glow.
* Firming eye cream: organic blue chamomile & rosehip oil antioxidant formula (£25, 15ml): replenishes lost moisture and firms delicate skin using high quality blue chamomile, rosehip and elderberry extracts.
* Firming face oil: organic starflower, arnica & rosehip oil mature skin formula (£38, 30ml): with rosehip and starflower to plump and enhance tone and arnica and neroli flower to rejuvenate and protect.
* Radiance serum organic aloe vera & manuka honey revitalising formula (£32, 50ml): a brightening serum containing aloe vera and manuka honey to soothe and gotu kola and lemon balm to tone and revitalise the complexion.
The range has excellent ‘free from’ properties, using no parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances or colours.
As far as food allergens are concerned, the range is free from gluten, peanuts and dairy.
