Superdrug have launched a very affordable new skin care product line especially dedicated to those with sensitive skin – and with terrific ‘free from’ properties to boot.
Eight products make up the Simply Pure range, which has been designed to keep the skin smooth, clean, hydrated and healthy. Each is priced at £2.49.
* Light Moisturiser (75ml): Enriched with pro-vitamin B5, and designed to hydrate and nourish sensitive skin without causing irritation.
* SPF15 Face Cream (75ml): Gentle hydrating and sun-protecting cream, enriched with pro-vitamin B5 and shea butter.
* Gentle Facial Wash (150ml): Cleansing and refreshing, enriched with allantoin to calm.
* Smoothing Face Scrub (75ml): Gentle-action scrub to remove dead skin cells and impurities, with soothing allantoin.
* Cleansing Face Mask (75ml): Particularly good value clay-enriched mask to draw impurities from the skin.
* Calming Cleanser (200ml): Designed to gently cleanse and condition sensitive skin, boasting a creamy non-drying, yet effective, formula.
* Eye Make-Up Remover (150ml): Enriched with glycerine, this is Designed to gently but effectively remove eye make-up, even waterproof mascara.
* Refreshing Toner (200ml): Cleanses, tones and refreshes even the most sensitive skin.
Our regular SkinsMatter.com tester Hazel, who has occasional sensitive skin issues, tried the Light Moisturiser and said: “I liked it. I expected it to be ‘weaker’ or ‘wetter’ than it was, but it wasn’t either of those things. It went on the skin well and my face felt nice and taut afterwards, but with no tingling or any sort of reaction. The feeling lasted most of the morning and my skin felt clean and ungreasy.”
The manufacturers say that everything in the range is designed to be ‘mild, gentle and hypoallergenic, but at the same time effective and a pleasure to use’.
The range is free from parabens, fragrance and animal products.
